Here's What We Do

Our mandate is to foster and encourage intercultural understanding and citizen participation through the creation and distribution of educational films, videos, theatre as well as new media programs, products and resource materials that reflect the diversity and creativity of Caribbean-Canadian heritage culture.

CaribbeanTales International Film Festival

CaribbeanTales International Film Festival (CTFF), our flagship program, celebrates its 19th year in 2024. CaribbeanTales is a Canadian film production charity that proudly supports CTFF as it celebrates the talents of established and emerging Caribbean and African filmmakers.

Training

The Creators of Colour Training (CCT) Program has hosted over 80 producers from around the world in the last 13 years. Our training program helps support the selected candidates to receive professional film industry training. Creators of Colour Training has evolved to four main programs: Micro-Credentials, CTBISAP Entrepreneurship, The Big Pitch at TIFF, and Limitless Internship in partnership with CineFAM.

Distribution

CaribbeanTales Worldwide Distribution (CTWD) is a film distribution company based in Canada focusing on Black and culturally diverse content. CTWD is part of the CaribbeanTales Media Group, a Black-owned and controlled group of media companies. CTMG provides a pipeline of services including training, productions, festivals and events, and distribution. Not only that, but also the monetization of film and television content by, for and about Black people. CTWD is the go-to solution for Black and culturally diverse Canadian producers who want their content seen and sold across Canada and internationally.
